Guaria

An excellent crag on the west side of the island, with a variety of routes. Although south facing, because of its position and altitude, the crag is often cloudy in the afternoon bringing welcome shade.

Directions

Take the road from Guia de Isora towards Tejina and after a few km thereis a left turn to the village of Acojeja. Take this and keep steeply uphill to the last houses where there is limited parking by the side of the road. Park and take the track along the side of the last house to a U bend and then go straight up the hill to the start of the rocks. 10 to 20 minutes from the parking depending on the sector.

Access Notes

Access is sensitive due to nesting Tagarote Hawks, and the limited parking. Do not do anything to upset the locals and respect that Guaria is in a national park.
