Bärtel
A quiet crag set in a beautiful location just under the Risenberg summit. Bärtel has a steady and pleasant uphill walk to reach it, and then some testing routes. Beware of occasional sparse bolting and inconsistent grades. Some of the grading is not just tough, but clearly wrong,even by Basler Jura standards!
Park at Seetalhöhe (not at Eigenhof restaurant which is private ground). Follow the good track uphill along the edges of the woods for about 20 minutes until it circles around the Risenberg massif and crosses a meadow. Continue uphill through the meadow along the side of the wood until a track leads up to the crag. About 30 minutes from the parking.
